Almost everyone knows the feeling of an sprain ankle. Sometimes it hurts only a little while and you can simply walk it off, sometimes it hurts more and you can feel it for some days. Either way, it hurts and it sucks. What even more sucks it wrenching your ankle while your in the middle of an dance-competition. Well it happened to me -_-‘’

Yesterday was another dance competition. Normally I would compete together with Koen in my own level (Gold Star) and with Martijn in his level. (Silver Star) but Koen couldn’t come that day. He also danced with my sister and because we were both disappointed we couldn’t compete we decided to do it together. I would dance as a man so in less then two weeks I had to learn the steps as a man. I was glad I already knew some steps.
The first round went okay but when I danced with my sister I wrenched my ankle, in the middle of the Jive, and did my best to finish the dance. After we were done I sat down, upset because my ankle hurt so much. My friends were really nice and they immediately went for ice, something to drink and gave me a lot of hugs. Martijn went for some bandage and we tapped my foot in.
As good and bad as it went, I still danced everything. Martijn and I went to the finale and it went great! And the Jury thought so as well because we got the 3rd place!
Jenske (my little sister) and me danced as good as we could. I had my ankle wrenched and Jenske has a knee injury, so we were called the disabled team. Still we gave everything we had and with good results! Although we though we would finish on the 6 place (of the 7 couples) but we finished 2nd! O MY GOD!! I never ever finished that high! We were both so excited!
So although I sprained my ankle, and I’m still tapped in bondage right now, it was a great day and I’m so glad I kept going even with the pain ^^
